Reading the forecast

Each city page on Clock Locations shows the current conditions, the next 24 hours in three-hour steps and a forecast for up to eight days, all in that city's own local time. That matters when you're checking the weather somewhere else: "tomorrow afternoon" in Tokyo is tonight in New York.

Temperatures are shown in °F by default. Tap °C on any forecast to switch; the site remembers your choice. Wind is in miles per hour (or km/h in °C mode) and rain and snow totals are liquid equivalent, in inches or millimeters.

Forecasts come from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), which runs one of the most widely used global weather models and publishes it as open data. They refresh roughly every hour.
