Daylight saving time
Istanbul does not observe daylight saving time, so the clock stays on Türkiye Standard Time (UTC+3) all year. That makes the gap to places that do switch, like New York or London, change by an hour twice a year.
Good to know
Türkiye has stayed on UTC+3 all year since 2016, so Istanbul matches Moscow and is an hour ahead of Athens in winter.
